Another traditional treats stopping by in our house. This time it is originated from Palembang. The food itself is quite familiar for us as it is already become one of our favorite traditional food: Pempek.
This fish based dish is quite popular as Palembang's traditional food, besides their Kerupuk and Es Campur.
So popular, that we have even heard about the crab version of the pempek.
The pempek from this box sized quite small, bite size, which is nice for us, as we used to cooked our pempek by mixing it with some eggs to create some sort of frittata. Overall the taste is great and we cannot wait to visit Palembang soon to be able to taste pempek in their originated city.
