Jakarta (Culinary) Trip in June 2013: Sala Kitchen

The husband of our best friend, Chandra, recently just opened his restaurant in Kemang, and he is inviting us to visit their place. So, when we have the opportunity to visit Jakarta, we quickly put this into our to-do list priorities.

Located in Jalan Kemang Raya, the restaurant specialties of variety of dishes with mussels. Their menu is also influenced heavily by Belgian cuisine.

When we reached the restaurant, the timing is a little bit between breakfast and dinner, so we decided to select several brunch courses. We choose to order their Poached Egg, Cured Salmon and Hollandaise Sauce; Double-baked pancake, caramelized apple, roasted almond and rum-raisin Ice Cream; Cafe Latte and Black Coffee.

The food were exceptionally delicious. It is freshly made, with fresh and most importantly healthy ingredients.
Yummy!

We'd be sure to visit them again during our next visit to Jakarta, hopefully during lunch/ dinner time, so we can try their famous mussels next time.

Enjoy!
