Another ice cream parlor to consider when visiting Ubud. This parlor is an expansion from the Oops restaurant and bar. Located strategically in front of Ubud Market, this ice cream vendor sells several old time classic flavor to the tourism all around here.

Our take for today is Blueberry Cheese flavor. Soft and creamy, this ice cream is well suited for a good afternoon. Priced around Rp 25-50 thousand ($2-5), their ice cream are worth to try.

Disobeying our dentist recommendation of avoiding sweet food after dinner, we decided to have a scoop here in the famous Gelato Secret.
With flavor variation of +20, this Ice Cream vendor is one of the famous Ice Cream parlor in Ubud.
Price ranged between Rp 25-50 thousand ($ 2-5), this Ice Cream parlor offer some of our classic favorite Ice Cream flavors such as Rum & Raisin, and some new flavor, such as this Dragon Fruit flavor.

Happy Birthday Alia! Let's Celebrate in Lacamera Coffee

Last September 13th is a special day for one of our contributor, Alia who celebrating her 33th Birthday. To celebrate, we decided to go to Lacamera Coffee, a new coffee shop in Jl. Naripan, Bandung.

We have been here for several times. What we enjoyed most about this place is that because this place: 1) It is still new, so the place is not quite packed with people yet. 2) The food is delicious. 3). They make their coffee with heart 4). The price currently is quite affordable for us.

Oh, we forgot! The 5) reason is that because their Barista is super talented. We can order their hot latte and they can make funny pictures based on our demand. Of course, today we ordered the Happy Birthday picture :).

Their signature dish is the waffle, but for us personally their pasta, salad and soup are also quite good. For their signature drink is their Lacamera Mint Coffee and Red Velvet Latte.

Really enjoyed our dining experience here. Hopefully they can keep their great service standard for years to come.

Self Indulgencing Meals: Domino's Pizza

I have a pact with Alia that I can have some self-indulgencing meal once a week so I can manage my weight to be more "proportional".
What is being categorized as self-indulgence meal? The meals including pizza, burger, french fries, etc. Basically all the delicious but yet junk foods in the world.
So on that time I choose to eat one of my favorite pizza in Bandung: Domino's Pizza. The good thing is that they just opened not far from our place, so delivery order is what comes in mind.

We ordered the promotion menu consisted of their American Classic Cheeseburger (how they managed to put cheeseburger into a pizza is still a mystery for me, but as long as it tasted good, I am game) and Sprinkle Chicken.

Homemade Italian Pizza

Sometimes it is unbelievably easy to cook foods that usually looked hard to make. It is even especially easier if you can have it pre-made :).

For example, our pizza dough is easily purchased from Setiabudi Market. Tomato sauce? Just use the prepacked tomato sauce for spaghetti :).

All we have to do is just spread the tomato on top of the pizza dough. Add oregano, sliced sausage and shredded cheese. Put in the oven for 5-10 minutes, and viola! You have a very delicious pizza :).

This Macaroni Schotel tasted superb! Probably the best that I ever had in Bandung. Really classic and really delicious.

Bangkok (Culinary) Trip in July 2012: The Pizza Company Mah Boon Krong Center

Not much to say about this pizza vendor, as we go here to meet our friends from UiTM and also because we already starving :). It is one of the prominent pizza vendor in Thailand, it is like the Pizza Hut. It's all over the malls in Bangkok.

We ordered their Chicken Trio and their Tom Yum Gun Pizza. The chicken trio was OK, but the Tom Yum pizza is quite funny, as it has spices and sourness of Tom Yum Soup. Quite interesting...

Bangkok (Culinary) Trip in July 2012: Another Hound Cafe, Siam Paragon

Got a craving for Italian food, but you want something different with the other Italian food that you have? Then Another Hound Cafe is the place you should go.

It's a branch of the already famous Greyhound Cafe, and like their tagline, serving Italian taste with Thai twist, this place serves variety of Italian and other western food that are infused with Thai spices.

Their location is scattered around Thailand, especially Bangkok, and the place we visited is the one in Siam Paragon. The design and feeling of the restaurant is very modern and minimalist, and it's suits perfectly with the people who are visiting it. Very hip and trendy.

We ordered the Chicken Wing (it's highly recommended so they say), and their Thai Anchovy Spaghetti (Another top menu). For drinks Alia ordered the Pink Journey, while I ordered the Lychee Shake.

And yes, they are right. It is delicious. The spaghetti has Thai spices twist, while the chicken wing is dipped into fish sauce before frying, making it very delicious.

Really a place worth visiting if you go to Thailand.

Bali Culinary Lists: Ultimo the Italian Restaurant

Ultimo is an Italian restaurant in Seminyak, Bali and it was ranked #11 in Tripadvisor. We went here in 2009 with our friends, the place basically on the hottest spot in Seminyak near Rumours and other famous restaurants. We had to wait quit long just to be seated, there's bar area and it was also already packed with people. So, we just looked around their menu that was put in front of the restaurant and surprisingly it wasn't as expensive as we thought, comparing with the price in Jakarta.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was great, the light was dim, and although it was crowded by people but still relaxing and cozy. We choose part of the restaurant that was open air and when it was started to rain, they had the automatic roof which was very interesting.

So, maybe we will consider to go here again because last time we went here it was great!

Cafe Asix (Again!)

After trimming our hair (both of our hair :D). We were kinda confuse on where to eat. After circling around the block, we decided to eat at Cafe Asix, as the place was close to our barber (actually the barber was in the same building with the cafe). Instead of the usual pizza, we ordered the baked rice and various snacks, and it was quite good. The rice was baked in the same oven with the pizza, and when eaten, it has distinctive smoky flavors coming through. Alia ordered the Cikur Fried Rice, and I have to say the Cikur was a great touch.

If you are confused with all of the new eating place in Burangrang/ Talagabodas/ Banteng/ Buahbatu area, then Cafe Asix can become an alternative for you to eat.
