On 30th of April 2014, we were invited to the housewarming of the newest Nanny's Pavillon restaurant in Jalan R.E. Martadinata (Riau), Bandung. As we recalled, the last time we have ever visited this restaurant was a couple of years ago, when they first opened their first branch in the other side of Jl. Riau.
The Facade |
Nanny's Pavillon back then were famous for their pancake, so with this invitation we were super excited. Are there any new meals being served here? Really making us anxious.

In the restaurant, we were greeted by Mbak Ai from Sindikat Kuliner. She is there on the behalf of the restaurant to greet food writers who were invited. Brief explanation from Mbak Ai suggested that currently all of the existing Nanny's Pavillon branch in Bandung (Istana Plaza, Setiabudi, Riau, and Trans Studio Mall) are all being merged into this restaurant.
The restaurant concept is unique, as it depicted the real layout of a regular house. From the guest room which functioned as ... you guest room to welcome the guest who dined here and cashier, continued to the living room, dining room, kitchen, children bedroom, bathroom (this one really fun!), back terrace, and master bedroom. As it seems that the current old house building for this restaurant is not renovated and kept like the original.
The bathroom is the one room that attracts me the most. Very unique, and it is reminded us to this restaurant in Taiwan hehehe... The dining room area is also caught our attention, as it can house for a family meeting of 20 people or so. Very big and convenient.
The Menu |
For housewarming, we are presented with four dishes and two type of beverages. The food consisted of Carla's Chicken Schnitzel, Elise's Lasagna, Kim's Tuna Baked Rice, and Olivia's Green Tea Pancake. For the beverages it consisted of Mint Lemonade and Mango Cocktail. We opted for the Kim's Tuna Baked Rice and Olivia's Green Tea Pancake for our meals, and each of Mint Lemonade and Mango Cocktail for beverages.

The Tuna Baked Rice tasted superb, with mozzarella topping and warm tuna on top. The Olivia's Green Tea Pancake is exactly what we expected from Nanny's Pavillon as one of the restaurant that introduced the savory and variation concept of pancakes in Bandung. Very light and you can really tasted the Green Tea.
For the beverages, the Mint Lemonade and the Mango Cocktail are very refreshing.

After a hearty meal and nice conversations, we talked and chat.. until we realized it is already six o'clock! Wow, how time travel past when you have good companion, nice meal, and warm place to visit :).
Really looking forward for our next visit here. Perhaps with the extended family members, so we can eat in the dining room? Or just the two of us hanging out in the bathroom area? One thing for sure, we will definitely returned here again soon :).
Enjoy!
