South Indian Banana Leaf Cuisine in Bandung

Indian Food? Eat on banana leaf? How weird is that?
When Aswin sent the picture to our family BlackBerry messenger groups then one of his cousin commented, "Apaan sih??? Kok liatnya sedih bgt kaya yg miskiiiin bgt :'( (What's that??? It look so sad, like you're so very poor) Hahaha...

It was Andrew Zimmerman on TLC that showed when he came to Singapore and eat on the famous indian restaurant and he ate on banana leaf. I guess it pretty common thing.

So, we tried the banana leaf full set menu with mutton (lamb), chicken tandori, prata bread and samosa, for the beverages we ordered masala (hot) tea and mango lassi. I (We) think the food was great, it was suitable for Indonesian taste, so I guess the owner make it less "India" because the spices was not too much. (Maybe to reduce the cost also)

Banana Leaf Full Set with Mutton Rp. 45.000,- ($4.5)
Samosa Rp.10.000,- ($1)
Masala Tea Rp. 8000,-
Mango Lassi Rp. 9000,-
So, if you craving for Indian food in Bandung. Just come to the restaurant, especially at 2 pm - 5pm on weekdays because it is happy hour and they give 20% discount. The price range from Rp. 10.000,- to Rp. 50.000,-

  1. South Indian Food is a wonderful blend of flavors, colors, seasoning, nutrition balance, aroma, flavor and appearance. After preliminary work with long term begins in rice.
